A word to the bug abusers.

Well I didn't know where to put this so I'll put this in general,
Feel free to move it.

<rant>
You know what really pisses me off? When I go into a bug abuse thread and I see posts like "ROFL OLD!" "YOU SUCK" "THIS IS SO EASY". Why does this piss me off? Not everyone can be as good as you, everyone starts off somewhere, So they might not be the first to discover it but at least they found it without others telling them it. You don't have to be so harsh to everyone. Bugs can only go to some limit until they start repeating themselves, Lets face it bugging is closing in on its limits to what it can really do, If you don't like seeing old bugs reinvented then you might as well not even bug anymore.

Instead of discouraging the buggers, whether new or old, You could at least tell them "Good job!" or Some other encouraging words.

yes but usualy i only do that when they claim to find it/first to do <.<

Beanhax 12-08-2008 07:08 PM

I agree, we get to many mean comments to newbies.

people who post bugs saying 'look what i found' when its clearly obvious they didn't find it and that the bug was infact leaked and most likely leaked to them, they deserve to get flamed.

but look what u said

"most likely leaked"

Just because you may have found it first, it doesn't make you the best as others still have the chance to find it -.-

people often are oblivious to the fact that bugs have been found before, remember bug abuse is a learning and sharing progress.

well it DOES disguest me sometimes especially when im in a bad mood, when some random kid comes up and says 'look what i found!' and yet i had already found the bug months ago and yet he/she gets credited for it

That happens a lot since, as I said bugs are reaching its limit fast.
Theres not really much more you can do.

More then one person can find the same bug. Thats the problem, You people shouldn't get pissed that someone else found out YOUR bug when for all you know some one else found it before you.

its people like you who make people mad like this. when people like me say "look what i found" they simply mean that they found it. not found it first, not invented it, just found/discovered it. its not "infact" leaked to them, you dont even know how they found it. nobody told me pc safety/ninja and i found a way to do them. you cant say that its leaked to them if you werent there and you dont know. you may know how they did it, but you dont know if it was leaked to them.

Why doesn't everyone not care about credit. :] There there now, problems solved. You know that deep inside yourself, you already know how to do something. No need to gloat ladies.

Mezala 12-10-2008 08:22 AM

its ppl like svew and other exploiters that mainly flame

Crayon Boy 12-10-2008 10:58 AM

Doesn't matter. If noone told them that, maybe they'd think they are truely good at bug abuse and never try to find more bugs.

Or w/e

Csg999 12-10-2008 12:58 PM

maybe crayon, we don't know

Avenger 12-10-2008 01:15 PM

Well you can't flame but you can't be too nice, I'm saying we need to find a medium ground, If we are so mean people won't bug abuse anymore, if we are too nice people won't bug abuse, Mainly just stop the flaming... Its against the rules anyways.

forgotpw 12-14-2008 05:57 AM

i agree with most of the above but even if its already been found before, if they found it on their own they deserve credit
