[hide=1]my friend did this on accident a few hours ago and sent me the pic, he told me what he was doing i'm pretty sure its easily re-creatable but i haven't been on runescape yet.

found something wierd. go to your bank and search null, ive got 425 results =P
btw nice find, hope you can recreate it soon.

I've got 472, maybe that number is significant.

EDIT: The number isn't significant, every item you add into bank is -1 on the null count, if there are no items, it's 496(which is the maximum number of spaces in bank) in both P2P and F2P.

Try to re-create it and make another pic of like 20 dwarf heads that would be epic.

looks like you don't need much to be able to do it.

If you do a search for null, it brings up as many results as you have free spaces in your bank.
null in your bank = free space

so...

Maybe if he filled his bank up and spawned loads of nulls, he could have semi-unlimited bank space? That would only work if he actually withdrew the null from his bank. If the null acts as an item, it's pretty useless.[/hide]

I would really like to know this one. I have some other ideas for when you get the null but I need to get it first.

What is the benefit of null or null item and what is it? I don't completely understand.

Try making a client in rs private servers and you will see what this is.The dwarf head isnt a item its a part of a dwarf model and is model number 0 of the cache.Im not the best programmer but i think null means it has no value. Oh and my theory why its always the null item in glitchs is because its the first model and might be like the default.

For fun i spawned a godsword in single tile in runescape on my private server but somehow i got a error and had dwarf heads all over the map it was halarious

Put them in chest, try to lend etc..Try exploiting it.

null is when the ints of a model or item is incorrect or re-arranged

Can you revert it to its previous item? If so...you could probably use it to smuggle items into places.

I remember RS also used to have some other non released items that could be found via memory editting and client hacking if you knew what you were doing, some consisted of I believe a pink skirt called a 9mm, as well as some fish shaped object, that as its examine actually stated it was for memory editors to find. I forgot the exact message. But it was kinda funny. For obvious reasons to stumble upon that, private servers might actually have them in their game code aswell at least the older ones.

That sounds cool, i love easteregg's it shows that Jagex have a sense of humor. :p

Im like 90% positive that the pink skirt, which was called "9mm Revolver" was a custom-made private server item, as ive seen it on private servers before, and when you examine it, it says "kills people" so i kinda doubt that would be in real rs.
