The days of the week

Okay according to Christianity god made the world in 1 week. And he started on Monday and then rested on Sunday that is why we dont do anything on the sunday.

Sunday is technically beginning of the week SO this would mean that God would of rested BEFORE he started making the earth/planets etc?

It all depends on how you define the beginning and the end of the week.
Some consider it monday some consider it to be Sunday. All depends
on your personal perspectives.

Calenders start the days of the week on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

The way we do our calenders now doesn't have anything to do with how the Earth was created; I believe anyways.

Siyico1 11-09-2008 02:52 PM

Meh its all confusing IMO. Ive always said that the beginning of the week is monday.

The day of the weeks are a man made invention. The days in the bible probably represent a much larger scale of time.

Lust 11-09-2008 03:06 PM

I like to think of the week beginning on Friday lol.

O 11-09-2008 03:12 PM

I say it begins on Monday. That's the first day of the week you have school/work usually. Just feels as tho the week just starts.

Attrejiu 11-09-2008 03:28 PM

In random country's week beginning in random days. But who cares when week begins? theres still 7days in week, everywhere is same.

SYther 11-26-2008 02:51 PM

monday = start.
friday = end.
saturday = drunk.
sunday = recover.
Repeat.

I don't no about God but I do my homework on Sunday, so 'm just guessing that he did his homework on Sunday then created the world on the other 6 days.
lol jk

idk but i have no saturday, im still buzzzy from friday night! :D

and i think monday is, because techincally sunday is considered a weekend and grouped in with saturday in last days of teh week

Siyico1 11-27-2008 01:00 AM

Lol monday is the beginning IMO. Sunday is a weekend day. =p

Vista 11-27-2008 09:14 AM

Nope, I think that Monday is..
Starting the week on the last day of the cycle is stupid as hell.

Dvok 12-10-2008 07:21 PM

Yes in Utah, like 99% of our calenders start on monday.

Thats actually mad confusing lmao. And i agree with you on the fact that the Business week starts with monday. According to the Christian calender it does start on Sunday. Which states that he must have rested from 1A.M. till 12.P.M. then started making the planets again. Very confusing theory but. It knda does work out in the end IMO

Bamases 12-15-2008 04:50 PM

Lol He rested on the last day of the week. The human race fucked the order of the week up. End of story.
