You must have 2 things attacking you. Then, you attack number 1 and quickly switch to #2, and then run.

Meah. U can do it much easier. Just get something/someone to attack u and walk (be sure he/it is attacking u while u walk) and u will be sliding.

u probably slide because of the short pause between attacks, im guessing that to slide longer you should be attacking with an obby maul
