HOW THE HELL DID I GET A VIRUS FROM GIMP?

I knew there was some one asking for gimp help as soon as I looked at the title.

Anyways,
did you download directly from the gimp site? If so, there shouldn't be any viruses at all. You sure it isn't a false positive?
