Is this abuse of the reputation/exp system?

Basically just to do a 'trade' where I by tons of expense exp crap for a friend and they sell it and get exp, and they gift me something like supporter rank, and I sell it for rep?

Edit: I wouldn't want to do this cause it's completely retarded I just want to know cause someone asked me to do this 2 days ago.
