Hey All,

I think DropBox is very useful software. Yes it might not be for hacking etc. Though it does come into use in the real world? If you know what that is.. I don't.

What it does.

Dropbox is a place to backup and synchronise files. You get a few gig of storage and it makes it easier for you to access work etc. Plus stop using crappy usb sticks.

The people at dropbox describeit as:-

'Dropbox is software that syncs your files online and across your computers
Put your files into your Dropbox folder on one computer, and they'll automatically appear on any of your other computers that also have Dropbox installed (Windows, Mac, and Linux too!). You can even download Dropbox apps for your smartphone or mobile device (iPhone, iPad, Android, and Blackberry). Everything in your Dropbox is available from the Dropbox website, too.'

Pros
  • 2GB Storage to start...
  • Backup!!
  • Synchronisation
  • Accessable from Anywhere
  • You can find many uses for it
  • Sync Windows, Mac, and Linux computers.
  • Automatically syncs when new files or changes are detected.

Cons
  • You might make your computer vulnerable
  • You might be stupid and give it an easy password that could be brute forced.
  • You might decide to synchronise a virus with all your pcs.

Anyway get it
