I've done this as well.

I'm pretty sure you won't be able to do anything after you tele with the map in your face because theres an interface up and you can't move so your friend probably won't be able to trade/teleother you because it will just say "That player is busy at the moment."

Nothing is useless - the problem is that you can't think an use for it. All you have to do is think outside the box - if it doesn't work, get a new box.

Kind of the same thing happends when you teleport while still talking to the grim advisor on miscellena.
