How to IP ban someone totally from a site.

Open notepad

type in this

order allow,deny




allow from all

save it as .htaccess

JUST PUT .HTACCESS, NOTHING ELSE!

when you want to block someone, you do this, eg, say my ip is 82.111.111.111

you would do

deny from 82.111.111.111

and this is how it would look

order allow,deny
deny from 82.111.111.111



allow from all

But this is for a webiste, isn't it?
Also, if this works on a PC, where to Save it.
It won't do somthing if it' s on desktop!

You upload it to your website, duh. That's common sense, and making a htaccess is common sense.

You may also want to say that if you have different folders etc, you need an htaccess in every folder.

This comes already installed with most web licenses.
