The best place to start is down to whatever you feel comftable. Its hard to sugest places because i dont live near you etc xD.

Same with shoes but i would sugest Asics Blackhawks and Asics Gel Oberons.

Dont use flat soles, the landing impact can hurt sometimes. I wear flats however, dunno why... i guess i just find them more comftable =p

i don't do "parkour", i instead incorporate the theory into my every-day life. makes things a lot more interesting
