For New Members

I have a suggestion for the new members. If someone new joins they should not have the immediate opportunity to be enabled in community contests. They should have a requirement of lets say 10-15 posts to participate in a contest. Some members may join here and just come here for things. If we put a restriction up it may boost us while giving the new members post count.

It will probably be shot down, but please don't flaim.

I also think that if you're a new member they need to be forcefully directed into reading the rules, and having to answer like a question about them.
Such as "What is rule 5 about?"

Make sure they understand that there is no spamming and such, cause obviously a majority of the newer members don't understand it.

How about like limited posts per day for first month, week, a day.

No, because not every person is here to be a leecher and just get post count up to see stuff.
Some people that come here on their first week are posting meaningful stuff, and already being helpful in the community.
You wouldn't know but when Eskimo came here, he started off a nobody - now he is a mod and the most Repped person on Ezud.

That is proof not everyone is here to leach, so putting a cap on how much they can post would be dumb.

One flaw with your theory, if you put a 10-15 post limit spam rates will be higher than ever. But never the less, a decent proposal.
