Wait you only need 82 woodcutting to cut the cursed logs? When it takes 85 wcing to cut regular magic logs. So when you leave the area they turn into regular magic logs? Dose that mean you can get magic logs without 85 wcing. That's kinda a bug all it's own.

75 woodcutting - regular magic tree
82 woodcutting - CURSED magic tree

when you leave the area they turn into normal magic logs
you can get the logs without 82 wcing you just need a friend to trade them to you

It's been forever since i really wced I thought it was 85 wcing for magic trees.. I guess I retract my previous statement.
